&lt;p&gt;The look on Suzi&amp;rsquo;s face was priceless: shock, horror and despair. Did she fear her parents or was she younger than she said and the folks had come to rescue her? Shit, I thought, slipping my 9mm back into my pocket. I knew that I could be in the Shit if she was under 16.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Now kids in the UK grow up quicker than American kids. Our&amp;rsquo;s drink by 18, sex by 16 (legal as well), but I know that drinking and sex in some places is 21.
