Linda&rsquo;s voice came laughingly over the earbuds, &ldquo;I would recommend against doing that again, sweetie.&rdquo; Vern considered the situation carefully. Something about the tone of her voice suggested he should take her advice. Linda wasn&rsquo;t one for surprises, and certainly he expected nothing like this!
