&lt;p&gt;You could say that I had an extended childhood. Or you could say that
I was late to physically mature. Either way, I was by far the
smallest kid in my class. Physically I was at least a year or two
behind the others. Other kids my age found me an easy target for
bullying. Even the girls towered head and shoulders above me and
probably weighed twice as much. They didn&amp;rsquo;t want anything to do with
me. Being the youngest in my large family didn&amp;rsquo;t help either. It was
