How I came to be here now, in this position is really neither here nor there, I am however stuck fast, sinking in quicksand & unable to extricate myself from it`s thick, sucking blackness. Kate, my girlfriend of ten years is standing within inches of where I am slowly disappearing, her black suede ankle boots are just out of reach of my hands as I desperately reach for them in an attempt to pull myself free.
