Part of me had said that it wasn&amp;rsquo;t a date, I was just meeting another woman, so there was no need to take too much trouble over my appearance. But when I saw how stunning she was, I was glad I wouldn&amp;rsquo;t be sitting there feeling like a plain Jane the whole evening. Somehow she knew me as soon as I walked in and beckoned me over.
